Today is just beautiful November weather here in the Bay Area and reminds me why I live here. It’s mid- November and still beautiful! So I just found maybe our favorite picture from the top of our Hayward hills performance.

What a view from the top of the Hayward hills! Our string trio lucky for a wind die-down just before we had to play or a November late afternoon performance could have been pretty cold ‘way up there’! Here’s a few favorite pics we’d like to share from our November afternoon performance:

1 week, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs as a String Duo at the Majestic Hotel in Yosemite

But first I always look forward to a fine breakfast or lunch, depending on what time I need to be in the Yosemite Valley at this little diner in Mariposa. I always look for their train scene that runs the ceiling’s entire perimeter of the dining area. The craftsmanship has wonderful detail and maybe each […]

1 week, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings relocates from St. Anthony’s to a San Jose Golf Club

We performed a ceremony at a little church and 15 minutes later we were at this beautiful Golf Club high in the hills of San Jose and overlooking the South and East Bay Area. This hills furthest would be the Peninsula area just south of San Francisco. I liked this picture the most as it […]

1 week, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs the ceremony at a little Catholic Church and later for the reception at a separate location.

We were greeted by an incredibly nice Father who insisted on helping us with our equipment up stairs and even later to the car! The bride, groom and guests all had a wonderful time during the ceremony as while it was formal, there was also some informality in guests being able to speak and react. […]

2 weeks, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs as an orchestra at the Levi Stadium in Santa Clara

How many can say that they’ve performed at the Levi Stadium, and on the green too? It was a very unusual assignment as a last minute request to put together a 12 piece orchestra. The occasion was a surprise for a very lucky recipient. Imagine that one company rented out the whole stadium for the […]

2 weeks, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs at the Kohl Mansion

We have performed at dozens of mansions. This mansion has a nice history spanning over 100 years and at one point in it’s history included  a personal 150,000 gallon reservoir on a 40 acre site. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places. Our performance as a string trio was actually a second sister’s wedding […]

3 weeks, 2 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs north of the Bay Area

Our performance this last weekend took us up farther north than usual. I really enjoy north of San Francisco. It’s less crowded and more green and the trees and all of the landscape very different. Mid-October in Northern CA is one of the most beautiful times of the year for the area. Still warm and […]

3 weeks, 4 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs in a small church setting

So this was a quaint, small wedding. The couple was young and so happy to finally have the big day upon them! I liked the fall leaves that were spread along the sides of the aisle. These two autumn-hued trees added a warm glow to the ceremony room. Upon leaving we were greeted outside with […]

3 weeks, 6 days ago Posted in: Blog Comments Off on An Elegant Touch of Strings performs for a corporate event

We’ve performed hundreds of corporate events. Our assignment was mostly cover songs, performing as a string trio for Silicon Valley techs. The weather was perfect and our music brought most of the guests outside to enjoy the atmosphere as we played for the entire event.
