Warren Hall just a few min. before the demolition

This is a little sad for we who attended Cal State and actually got our music abilities refined to the degree you hear us today. One of our violinists live not far and caught these last couple of pictures. I had forgotten that they would bring down this magnificent tower atop Hayward’s Hills. It was definitely Hayward’s most magnificent accomplishment, buildings-wise. It housed the library and administration staff.
Hayward is on a major fault…of course, the Hayward Fault! And it ran right under this building that didn’t meet the latest codes. Another friend of mine felt the 2.2 or so rumble it caused coming down all the way in Fremont, approx. 10 miles away.
Cal State Hayward’s Warren Hall is no more!
