So I think it’s the first time I’ve performed a wedding in Yosemite on a Monday! We were lucky for gorgeous weather. Ahhh–to live in California as it’s really fine weather a great deal of the time, and especially in Northern Ca.

This lucky couple had the Blue Angels fly over just as they were starting the ceremony, and not once but twice! Wish I could have caught that picture but I had music to think about by that time. They were flying over San Francisco the prior 2 days so I guess it was just handy that they have some fun over the fantastic glacial carvings.

As our violin/cello duo were setting up I caught a couple of pictures here from the meadow where we played. The sound is fantastic and carries for dozens of yards in all directions. Later we set-up inside. The building in the background is the Ahwahnee Hotel, but now as many know it’s called the Majestic Yosemite Hotel because the rights to use the name ran out and the company that owned the rights wanted a fortune to keep the name. That goes for other locations throughout Yosemite. Many names will be changed.
