It really is low maintenance, considering not having to water or mow a lawn, but from time to time a serious clean-up is in order too, as is all gardens!
I don’t consider myself with a green thumb. Just more lucky I think as mostly what I plant does grow. Here’s a couple pics of my front yart that used to be grass, old grass and looking bad. The water company tempted me with a payment to turn grass into low water plants. So I did! This is 2 1/2 years later. All plants were just quart-sized plants and some relocated from my back-yard too that weren’t getting very appreciated such as the fox-tail in the far back. It was a lot of work, you can imagine, as my front yard is huge but when I broke it down into smaller sections as you can see then it became doable. I did this August through the end of September and often in 90 degree+ however I take the heat well and obviously survived!
