So here’s two of the most identifiable landmarks in all of CA and as for the bridge, probably in the world: Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, one you’d be happy to be on, and the other not so happy to be in! Anyway, it’s just used for tourists these days. It was used from 1934-1963 as a federal prison on a small island a little over a mile off the San Francisco mainland. It’s now a National Park. As for the bridge, it’s the most photographed bridge in all of the world, opened 1937 and still going strong.
