San Carlos Cathedral, Monterey, An Elegant Touch of Strings performed as a string trio

We enjoy performing south of the Bay Area on occasion. Monterey is of course one of the most beautiful areas of California. This church is the oldest continuously functioning house of worship in California and was founded 6/3, 1770 by Junipero Serra.

This was the wedding that preceded ours. They had a mariachi band play the recessional. We then set up as a string trio. They have a delightful couple of bells that ring to announce the joyous event!

Inside this historical landmark. Long and narrow but has more seating up front in wings that spread off to the left and right, surprisingly.

I liked this picture of the mariachi band because you can also see the bells that ring after each wedding in the left top of the church
