There’s a restaurant I like to stop at, Miner’s Restaurant, just before you head out of town on the left. Real miner feeling. They know me well as I’m up that way several times a year. They even remember where I like to sit! Decent food and a nice break from driving before heading in for the last 90+ minutes to the Yosemite Valley.
Not great pics here as I don’t have a knack for taking darker pics, and maybe my camera isn’t good enough. But anyway there’s a train that runs the whole perimeter of the ceiling over the tables. If I’m lucky and finish a wedding in the valley early enough I’ll drop back in on my way back for dinner here.
A nice place like this reminds me of Hemingway’s A Well Lighted Place.
