Berith Christian Fellowship sure knows how to put on a special event! We performed this anniversary party for the church in Oakland’s beautiful Rotunda Bldg.
We were there early enough to catch this rehearsal of a very talented acrobat that would entertain the congregation later. Berith Christian Fellowship 15th Anniversary Party, An Elegant Touch of Strings Quartet, Trio, Duo, Solo
We had been hired for Berith’s first year (15 years ago!), and then their 5th and 10th year parties and just played for their 15th year anniversary Friday. Each party was more spectacular than the first and here’s a few favorite pictures I thought to share.
The most memorable event for me though was as our trio was leaving. A very young man of about 11 or so caught us as we were discreetly leaving around the perimeter area. His first words where ‘You really impressed me!’ but then he had more to share about how everyone was dressed up (he included) and that when they sat down for dinner and our music was playing that, in so many words, the music really fit the elegant occasion.
This is a very important point to make I think. The music isn’t all about the event but the people it touches and for it to touch such a young person like this who went out of his way to tell us- what a compliment to our trio. It’s one of the reasons we enjoy what we do so much, just times like this!
